Can the powers-that-be describe who and what God is to the satisfaction of every single person on Earth?I remember being taught recitation and enunciation in the first grade, by learning the Pledge of Allegiance, A child's mind does not form a connection to the Vatican,or dare say to any evolved concept, by doing this. A deep sense of patriotism was first instilled in mto me by JFK. What do I do with that and the sadness I feel now at erosion, meddling and dissolution? The separation of Church and State is not the same as removal of someone's spiritual core.I doubt the citizenship test, which contains a knowledge of the above, is barely considered by anyone as an affront to their own beliefs. As my own deep spiritual core grew, by experience and learned mentors, my ideas of personal prayer can very well exist along with every other idea and political agenda in the world. Personal prayer guys.....personal prayer. Today I will pray by going to the gym. Tonite I might pray by reading the Talmud. I may eat some pork for dinner and feel thankful for food. I may scan a point of interes in The Tibetan Book of the Dead; Or, meditate peacefully by watching some irreverant cartoons. I may top it all off with reading the most fantastic and popular historical volume to date, The Holy Bible. The powers that be will not be with me today. Or will they?
